Hello everyone,
I thought I'd do a little giveaway/PIF contest! The prize is a Gillette Red Tip Super Speed. It is definitely user-grade, it is missing an end cap and there is some plate loss under the head, but otherwise it functions flawlessly.
So since I am a math major I thought that I would supply a math problem as the "contest" part of this PIF.
You don't have to do the math problem to enter, but if you do the problem and get the correct answer I will enter in your number twice for the drawing instead of once, so there is some incentive to have a go at it.
I am going to limit the PIF to entries in the CONUS. I will pick a winner Wednesday night or Thursday morning.
So if you'd like to enter just say "I'm In".
Here is the razor:
Here is the problem:
Nick’sTrip
Nick drove from his home in Central City 60 miles directly west to Westtown. Afterwards, he drove north, up to Northwest City, a distance of 45 miles. Nick then left Northwest City and drove home directly to Central City instead of going back through Westtown. The total time for the whole trip was 3 hours. Assuming that Nick drove in a straight line to each destination, what was his average speed?
Good luck!
