Red/blue tip?

Remember i am still new to old razors if this question seems daftI know the red tip is for heavy beards and the blue for sensative skin, but how, is the red tip heavier or the blade gap bigger?

im pretty sure its blade gap only, though there may be a weight difference

Yes, there is a weight difference too. Red tip is heavier.

What I get from my digital scale is:
Blue tip, 1.6 oz
Reg. flare tip SS 2.0 oz
Red tip 2.4 oz
