Recommendations for a Second Razor

I'm looking to tap into the wisdom of some members who have much more experience than I do. Since March I've been using a Merkur Model 180 Long Handled Razor. I like it but am looking to expand my collection. Ideally I'd like something with a smaller handle.

Any recommendations?

Merkur Progress Short Handle to keep it in the family if you want an adjustable, or an open-comb would be nice if you have a coarse beard.

Merkur 37c slant shorter, heavier handle (Its not a blood thirsty monster lol) but a little step up in effecientcy. Good luck and enjoy the journey to "THE" razor

my ej de 89 barley chrome is rather nice. heavier than my merkur classic which I liked and helped withmy technique, but rather light. merkur makes a stubby handle shaver. or they sell one in the aftermarket for it. I dobelieve that the ej de 89 handle is much shorter than yours. I agree, shorter handles are better. for control at least

Slant is a good way to go. However after spending close to a grand trying high end razors my favorite is merkurs progress with joris/plisson a close second.
