Recommendation for opposite of maduro

I've been smoking mostly maduros since I started a few weeks ago and love the dark flavours but I think I should switch it up a bit and try some other stuff. If you had to come up a cigar or two (or three:biggrin1:) that nicely represent the flavours on the opposite end of the spectrum from maduro, or just different altogether, what would they be?

Last night I had to quickly put together a Smokingpipes order to make sure I secured a tin of the new Three Nuns while it was still in stock (although i think the rush and fascination is done) and also tossed a few cigars into my cart. Most are maduro but with the Padron 2000 I got one maduro and one natural to get a sense of how different wrappers can affect the same blend of filler and binder. I can still add more as I haven't mailed in my payment yet -- hence this post. Here's what I got if you're at all interested:

-- Oliva Serie G Maduro
-- La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amore
-- La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amore Reserva
-- Rocky Patel Edge Maduro (got another size to see if it's packed more densely than the other I tried)
-- Rocky Patel Java Maduro
-- Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage
-- Drew Estate Tabak Especial Negra
-- Padron 2000 Maduro
-- Pradron 2000 Natural

Also grabbed a bullet punch as I'm convinced my guillotine cutters are crap and I don't want to dish $40 for an upgrade to a Xikar cutter just yet. Also had the chance to grab a 1 lb. box of Mac Baren Old Dark Fired flakes but, painfully, I had to pass on it as that would put me waaay over the limit that Customs Canada allows before they start ripping open boxes and writing out duty fees slips for obscene amounts of money they determine I owe my government.:crying: It really does make me want to cry... but there's no crying, there's no crying in the Brown Leaf!

You might try a Candela wrapper? It makes for a cigar that is quite literally green in color -- and the flavor profiles are more "hay and grass" than "chocolate and nuttiness" that you find in maduros and other darker wrappers.

If you want to delve further into the "spicy" flavor profile you could always try out the Punisher - but be warned that apparently that sucker can burn your lips with the spice it includes. [I'd also note this is an extreme example of spice. For a more "regular" spice profile, maybe a My Father?]

That's all I've got off the top of my head. I really dig maduros and the "darker" flavor profiles, so I tend to stay in that realm.

Perdomo is really good about releasing their blends with a variety of wrappers. Maduro wrapped cigars are the cigars I reach for the least often. That really bold flavor has a tendency to overpower some blends that are better balanced with a lighter wrapper. Definitely check out Sungrown and Corojo wrapped cigars. These tend to have a spicier profile, the Sungrowns being slightly sweeter than the corojo.

I know you said milder and opposite, but as a guy who likes the bolder stuff, This is one cigar you have to try,

onto what you actually asked for help on,

These two cigars I would consider very mild cigars with very little pepper or spice.

Some other cigars to try thats not maduro and not as mild as the above.

Just added the Illusione and Flor de las Antillas to my order. BTW, Boris, who said anything about "milder"? The only thing milder about tobacco I want is prices.:biggrin1:

Thanks for the ideas, guys. I appreciate the thought.

I don't know if they're opposite of maduros, but they're good. Check out Partagas Serie D No 4 (cuban) and the Don Julio line from Artuero Fuente. Neither are particularly cheap, but they're great cigars.

La Flor Dominicana Double Claro. AWESOME candela cigar. Perfect for the heat of summer. While it's good all year round, the flavor only really speaks to me when it's sweltering. And when it is, there's simply nothing else that will be so nice!

In fairness, I haven't tried Camacho candela. The Arturo Fuentes candelas I've tried have been quite pleasant, but they're not LFD.
