What's new

Recommend an aftershave for me -

Under 15,20 bucks, if possible. Here's what I have already, and like :

Clubman Pinaud (the basic one)
Old Spice
Stetson (both the cooling and original scent)
Jaguar
Paul Sebastian
Nivea splash
Aqua Velva (the original blue stuff)

and what I've tried and did not like :

any balms
Clubman Pinaud bay rum
Brut
Aqua Velva Musk
Jovan Musk
English Leather
the 'Veg'

If they offer it on amazon, I'll give it a shot. If I get two cheap ones that add up to under twenty bucks, I'll buy them both. I've been working non stop overtime for the last month and want to treat myself.

Thanks guys.

I'll pass on the skin bracer, thanks. (You mean the Mennan product, right? the blue one isn't bad, but I prefer Aqua Velva. The green bottle smells too much like Brut). So far I've tried three Clubman products, and while the original smell great, I didn't enjoy the other two (although I'm curious as to what the Special Reserve smells like.)

So far I'm debating about flipping a coin for the Proraso or Speick, although I'll take any informed opinions on either.

Lucido by Mandom (Available on Amazon) - Wonderfully moisturizing, very little scent, and just a hint of menthol. It's wonderful!

Speick probably edges it for performance with lots of good stuff inside. Has a somewhat herbal/lavender type of scent. The Proraso is a menthol rush (the old formula, that is. I haven't tried the new one). I'll be refilling my Speick when it runs out, but not the Proraso.

Speick is the best healing After Shave hands down. However, it has a floral scent which isn't bad but I prefer the scent of Proraso. Proraso holds it's own in the skin care department as well though.

Captain's Choice is my favorite daily AS. While it is a bay rum, it has very little to do with the Pinaud VIBR and is a much more refined scent and provides much more soothing/healing. Speick is my second choice. I still want to try the Lucido, especially now with BRuhling's post.

From your "I LIKE" list it appears you like floral and powdery scents.

Give Master Topaz a shot. It is one of my favorite aftershave scents and should blend right in with what you already "like"

Another scent that should fit into your "like list" is Clubman Musk. It is more floral to me than musk

I've tried a few and Speick is my favorite so far. However, my like and dislike list does not match yours. I can't stand any powder smell in my products.

Proraso is very popular around here and for good reason.

Seldom mentioned though is North Woods, by Aubrey Organics. One of my favorite fragrances in an aftershave.
