Rebirth Of The Woolie Mammoth

The project that started 40,000 years ago has finally been completed.
After sanding for what seemed like forever (this is the hardest material I have ever worked with) it was time to added in the reground Wade & Butcher I had. The finish is glass smooth as I sanded it out to finish with 1500 grit paper. I decided to sorta stay with the natural theme and finished with a bone wedge. I also added thin Stainless Steel liners to help keep this beautiful Ivory stable for many many years and fastened it all together with Brass Micro Fasteners that I filed down to about half the original thickness.
I am Happy with the outcome......What's next?

There is such depth to those scales.
The problem with stuff that awesome, is that I'd be afraid to use it at all.
It belongs in a display case with a spotlight.
