Re-Knotting A Travel Brush...

Discussion in 'Brush Making and Restorations' started by huck1680, Apr 1, 2019.

So I got this nice little travel set a while ago, mainly because of the 3-piece knockdown brush. When it arrived, I had a chance to get rid of the original boar's hair knot and Dremel out the old glue etc. Ordered a badger 16mm knot from TGN and waited for it to arrive. Well, it showed up a few days ago so I got the brush, mixed up some epoxy and settled the knot into its' new home.
Test drove the brush today and I'm happy to say that even for a fairly small brush, it worked very well. Now to either find or cut down one of my existing soap sticks to fit the other tube.
    Pics are pre-bloom.

  1. Nice looking travel kit!
  2. Nice little setup, and you can’t go wrong with a TGN knot.
