The husband of my “second daughter”, really my daughter’s close friend who, for a while dated our son, has an appreciation for fountain pens. He has an entry-level Waterman’s pen that I have watched him take good care of. Saturday, we got to talking about pens and I was able to gift him my Pelikan M400 green/black stripe with matching pencil. I had been thinking about doing this for a while and I knew we were going to meet, so I inked up the Pelikan which I have had for nearly 30 years and put it in my pocket. It was rewarding to help him in his FP journey.
The Pelikan has been my friend for years, but has only had sporadic use as it was in a rather large collection. Now it will get much more regular exercise and be appreciated by its new owner. or will be interesting to see how he likes the Akkerman Passage Blau ink. His ink of choice is Waterman‘s Serenity Blue.
