RazorRock Game Changer v/s Lupo, really that much different?

Question on why you might choose one over the other? The RazoRock Game Changer SS .68-P Double-Edge Razor v/s RazoRock SS Lupo 58 Double-Edge Razor.:straight:

Please help me out with info I don’t have otherwise I would not be asking.:ouch1:

It was my understanding that the Lupo was based on the Wolfman WR1, and, the Gamechanger was based on the Wolfman Guerilla.

Have .72 + .95 Lupo and .84 + 1.05 GC.

I would say the blade feel is more obvious on the Lupo .72 and cuts more aggressively despite the .84 GC having a larger gap. Both are positive blade exposure, but the GC .84 is more tame for feedback and slightly more mild in general.

Ironically.. The LUPO .72 is a bit safer attacking certain angles vs .84 GC. Can't go wrong with either.

Never used .68 GC or .58 Lupo but I would expect a similar result as the higher gap versions.

Had both lupo and GC for me it was about blade feel
the Lupo was way to much blade feel for me where the GC was very mild blade feel in a not comfortable way like my Rex Ambassador was not comfy but the Wolfman 1.15 was to much blade feel but still comfortable :)

never tried the Lupo .58 though?
Out of the Lupo .72 and the .95 I liked the .95 better which it seems many also prefer the .95 over the .72 so they are wolfman like in that sense that the gaps seem to have a sweet spot and the comfort does not always mean lower is more comfy if I dare say that :)

The GC .68 IMHO is to mild and not efficient enough where the .84 was my favorite (have not tried the 1.05)
my current main razor is the Timeless .68 SB as example of what I am loving for the last year or so as my only razor

The GC was my 3rd fav razor of all time the other 2 above it the Wolfman .95 and the Timeless .68 SB Ti
So IMHO the GC is the best bang for your buck razor in existence sub $100 incredible build and options on the bar choices :)

I am team Lupo. I tried the Gamechanger, and while it provided a great comfortable shave, I appreciate the flexibility in angles you can get away with in the Lupo, as well as the smaller safety bar for under the nose and touch ups. I have the 127, 95, and 58 gaps and actually like them all and considering an open comb. I tried the CG84 and sold it after 1 shave without even wanting to try other plates. But it's not because it was a bad razor, I just prefer everything about the Lupo more.

Love threads like this as it shows how we vary so much :)
of course we all love shaving as the common ground
So why the buy them both and decide is the only way to know for sure :)

lucky they hold value from new well enough or used you can often break even reselling

The Lupo features a positive blade exposure on all blade gaps, even the mildest baseplate isn't free of it.

From what I've read otherwise the .68 GC likely is less efficient than the .58 Lupo.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all good feed back. Think RazorRock is great band for buck.

I don't think you can go wrong with either, but I would say the .58 LUPO is more versatile based on Italianbarber/Razorocks internal chart I linked above. Subjective to company obviously.

.58 LUPO should be more aggressive feeling, but also be more "tame" at certain angles due to gap.

You might be one of these people that prefer GC more.. and I won't exactly blame you since I switch between both.

I would say you should compare the the .58 LUPO to the .76 GC more than the .68 version.

.76 GC will have more efficiency, but also not be "too mild" like the .68 is. More middle ground option, but on the low end of "Medium".

I expect less or similar blade feel to the .58 LUPO, but I don't own either to comment... Just assuming based on higher gaps. Blade exposure IS relevant there.

My sensitive skin HATES multiple strokes.. so I learn towards a more efficient shave. (Top end Medium > Aggressive for me).

I find that I use my .72 and .84 more than the .95 and 1.05 plates unless I go a week without shaving.. then yeah I'm using the highest possible gap for either design.
