Razorock Mamba 53 vs Game Changer 68

It depends on what you want I guess. The GC68 never did a thing for me though I love the GC84OC. The Mamba 53 is a specialist for me. I use it on those days when I am out the door at 5 am. By 7 PM I have stubble and dinner with an important supplier, customer, or my wife. I am going too shave again the next morning and I need something quick, safe, comfortable that will give me a effortless smooth shave. It shines there.

I have both and I like the Mamba 53 better. It feels a bit smoother and better for some reason. Both are mild shavers and will get me comfortable DFS but a bit harder to get a BBS.

I have the Mamba 70 and the GC68. The Mamba is more comfortable and shaves as close or closer than the 68. But the GC68 feels more traditional. It's more like real shaving. The Mamba is like shaving without a blade in the razor. I like both and use both about equally. Haven't tried the Mamba 53.

When I first got the Mamba 0.53, I found it to be very smooth in use, but after three or four shaves, that always resulted in irritation, I put it away & used the GC .068 that I had bought just after my Mamba. The GC was easy to use from the outset, probably, as has already been pointed out, because in use it feels more like other DE razors. The GC provided an easy DFS & with some touching up, close to BBS. I then got a GC 0.84 SB, which I found was a fair bit more harsh in use than the 0.68, but the shave wasn't any closer, perhaps even less close, as the 0.68 was better at "buffing".

Months later, I shaved with my Mamba 0.53 again & straight away it gave me really close shaves, in fact closer than the GC 0.68, with no post shave irritation. Of course, I then had to acquire a Mamba 0.70, which I found was just as smooth in use as the 0.53, but closer shaving. I think that the very slight extra blade feel with the 0.70 makes it easier to maintain the correct angle & not apply pressure than with the 0.53.

So, out of the two razors the OP asked about, my preference would be the Mamba 0.53, though I found it a harder razor to master, as it is so smooth in use, I think that I must have been applying pressure to get some "feel" in the shave during my early shaves with it.

More Deep Thoughts than Jack Handy
I don't have either razor, but I do have the Mamba 70. I recently put a Kai SS blade in it and found the ever-so-slightly wider Kai blade gave it a bit more face feel and it became more audible. Overall, I thought it was more efficient. The Mamba 70 is a mild shaver. With a Kai blade in it I thought it gave a it a little more efficiency than it had with a standard width blade...YMMV.
