RAZOROCK Caprician Lemon - first use

Opened can..
There was a cube of soap.
Flattened it out to fill the tub.
Smells like Alka-Seltzer Lemon.
Used it.
Xtremely creamy and irritation free.
The slickest cream or soap I've ever used.

This soap is now the best cream/soap I've ever used and I have a good collection of about 20 kinds. Yes, it's similar to Cella in ingredients, but it is not Cella. The scent is not something I like, so I will be getting the others and will sell this to my bro on the cheap. Not a terrible scent, but once I identified it as smelling like lemon Alka-Seltzer tablets dropped in some water, it's not worth having a chink in the shaving armor so I'll get a different scent. Some people love the lemony scent, but I sense a touch of metallic seltzer....I highly recommend this stuff.

I'm the one with the different nose. It turns out I really like the Caprician Lemon, the fragrance is not unpleasant. Funny how it seems that if someone can guess a household product that is for something other than shaving, and identify a shaving fragrance as smelling like that product, somehow it's mandatory to consider that a bad smelling shaving product. I don't think Lemon Alka Seltzer stinks! However, the fragrance of Cella triggers an involuntary gagging reflex with me, so I can not use Cella, but the RR Artisan soaps have a very similar recipe and they perform identically, in my opinion. So the RR Caprician Lemon and the RR Ltd. Edition are better than Cella, in my opinion.

Do you mean he will find the others unpleasant and chemically smelling, as well. (I do)

Or do you mean he will find the others to be awesome performers, as well. (I do)

I think they all perform great, and I really enjoy the violet, lavender (particularly the KL) and the MdB.

The Chianti Lavender is(was) my favourite as after several uses without a problem, I seem to have developed a reaction to it! In my opinion, the King Louis raises the stakes even higher.

I've got the Caprician Lemon and the Mughetto di Bologna and I don't care for the scent of either soap.
As to performance; I think both Cella and Valobra are better, so there you go - no more RazoRock for me and once again; YMMV :001_smile

Soren, I am going to wait until I have received my La Famiglia soaps to make the final call, but after a recent reaction to the Chianti Lavender, I would say that Cella is still my favourite Italian soft soap.

I didn't think the Caprician Lemon was anything special either but I'm going to have to give it another try tomorrow.

I WILL buy the King Louis. I decided that I will in fact keep the caprician lemon and not give it away as I just stated a few posts back that I could not believe anyone would use someone elses used soap :) This stuff is awesome.

I bought the Boston Tea Party. And while at first I didn't like the scent. It has grown on me. It doesn't smell of tea at all though to me at lest. Price wise its a great buy, it makes great lather and does it on the cheap. Just the scent I'm not that keen on.

I haven't tried the Lemon. I have the Violet, Lavender, and MdB. I enjoy the scent of the former two and they all perform great for me.
I'll probably pick up the Mentolipto and Lemon at some point.
Thanks for the input on the Lemon.
