What's new

RazoRock Cacao is going away!

why did I get the felling that when Razorock came out, seemed like a pop fad, even the website. Maybe geared toward a younger gen and some scents come and go and it's only been a few years, or has it?
but yes, their products are in lowsupply as i checked the italian barber site and a few others. was thinking of trying the artisan but am eager to try mikes natural soaps. amassing an order

The brands and products are all conceived by RazoRock, outsourced from reputable specialized manufacturers and priced to sell in volume. It's not surprising that some products are discontinued for various reasons. Since RazoRock doesn't appear to own the manufacturing responsibilities, they have the ability to change products and suppliers as circumstances evolve, and new plans are placed into effect. It's obvious that the customers benefit greatly from RazoRock's business strategies. Consider how many of the well known web stores carry RazoRock branded products. Another thing to consider is how many new products have originated through RazoRock's efforts, while many of the much more mature products have disappeared or been reformulated into unusable crap. Example how many new soaps that people rave about have been introduced by RazoRock? How many new soaps that people rave about have been introduced by Musgo Real? Really?!

Thank you for the update mctmatt!

Honestly I don't see that as much of a setback. While I like RazoRock Cacao, I prefer the scent of their classic(almond) better. Both lather beautifully.

I guess it's only a matter of time before some get knocked off the shelf, what with having 20+ different scents lol.

You know what I hate about RazoRock? Notadangthang! Keep on doing what you do Joseph and I'll do my best to use them up quickly so I can buy more!

On topic: I already have a Cacao soap and plan on ordering the Fresco when this one runs out. It works great and smells good, but not so good that I don't want to try something different.

From what I understood it is not that the product did not have good sales it is just the manufacturer is no longer wanting to manufacture Cacao and there is the possibility that RR Classic and RR Fresco will also be discontinued. These along with RR XXX made up the original Shave Soaps/Croapsthat began it all for RazoRock. I love Fresco with its Water mint fragrance and still have one tub. I have never tried Cacao or the Classic shave soaps as I assumed they are very similar.

For me, Razorock is the best thing going on in the shaving world these days. And it's been like that for a while now. As long as Joe keeps churning the product out, I for one am buying. For all naysayers out there, I have this to say: King Louis Aftershave Lotion (spray), Mudderfoker, original RR aftershave wax, XXX, the entire friggin' La Famiglia line, Artisan Chianti Lavender and Boston Tea Party, S Maria...for a vendor to put any single one of these on the market, whether they created them or sub-contracted them, would be a tremendous achievement. But all of them? Are you kidding me? Okay, I'm done here.

Cacao was the first RR soap I bought. It's good stuff, but I prefer some the more recent RR offerings like King Lois, La Famiglia, etc.

If I am correct the Original is the same as Fitness soap(like the same stuff). One of my favorites and will always be in my rotation regardless of brand. Amazing stuff. I might be incorrect though but from what I heard it was the same(even the same container)

For the price point I'm not sure it's possible for RR to have something unpopular, as long as they all work more-or-less the same. The ones I've tried have always smelled fantastic, and the La Famiglia balms work wonderfully. As long as there is still something non-mentholated then I'm set.

RR is pretty awesome, easily the best bang for your buck creams/soaps on the market. Joe does an amazing job of supplying wetshavers with quality products at reasonable prices. I have five myself though I am certain that list will grow.

It was either a blessing or curse that all the products I tried had that tingling feeling or light burn. So I either saved a ton of money or missed out on some great soap. Besides that Joe did a phenomenal job putting together an A list line up.

I never tried it, so I consider that bad news. The good news is they have so many great scents, I'll never run out.

I placed on order for 3 Cacao's and 2 Fresco's - putting a couple on reserve and gifting a couple more. Really sad day - these are great products and the price is right
