I steamed this thing for an hour taking it out and pulling every 5 minutes and still couldn't get it out. Anyone have any tips?
If you have those silicon oven gloves, steam it again and then try twisting the knot out when hot. Glue is softest when hot. You could cut the knot hairs flush and then dremmel out the core possibly.I steamed this thing for an hour taking it out and pulling every 5 minutes and still couldn't get it out. Anyone have any tips?
Preference is to save both to try to set knot at higher loft. If that is not possible. Handle is preference to save and I'll get another knot. Are you trying to save the knot or the handle?
Honestly, chances are you might damage both the knot and the handle.I have an Omega Badger & Blade 10th Anniversary Shaving Brush with a nice 22mm boar knot in it whose handle I accidentally chipped. If I use the steam method, what are the chances of damaging the knot?
