Picked this up in a lot purchase with some straight razors. Can anyone tell me the model and age? It is a Gillette.

It's a Gillette New Bar Handle model and it is from the 1930's. Nice razor.
Yep, and more specifically a short-comb Gillette NEW, which usually have the "common bar handle".
The long-comb NEW has more "droopy" comb teeth and shaves a little bit differently - and usually comes with the ball handle.
That is a very good razor, especially for low angle shaving technique (which is what I do). Works very well with a Feather or similar.

Thanks, now to figure out what to do with it, I like straights myself.
