Razor ID please

Picked this up today. Looked and looked all I can tell is it French? Imported? Pat Jan 13 1920 serial number 2528798. This is how I found it in the wild. Thank you for your help in advance!

I would suggest it is a New -Improved from 1921-28. It may be a Bostonian.

However I think it is in a mis-matched case, which I cannot immediately ID.

Does it have any serial number on the basepate or cap, and does it say made in England?

Serial number is above and also made in USA in on it. What you see is how I found it. Thank you for your help!

Maybe your mistaking that last 8 for what is a "B"?
If so then it's likely a 1922 New Improved.
I've not seen that case though.
Perhaps the expert @romsitsa may be able to help.

It is certainly prior to 1928-9. They did not serial those years. It may be a Bostonian, but looking at the standard New Improved and it's design and patterning in gold, i'm hedging my bets now. I would say early-mid 20's though.

@Rob72 seems to have ID'ed the case generically, but yours' is not marked as a higher-end named Gillette speciality type. I am assuming a Bostonian is more likely to have stayed with the original marked case. I think a nice example of a gold plated New Improved. Good score, and good score on the case!

Rob72 is correct. Late thirties Aristocrats and some Populars had that type case. Nice razor but a mis-match.
