Razor Cleaning Question

Hello Gents,

How do you get that green stuff (whatever it's called) off of the old razors. I'm not having luck with soapy water and scrubbing bubbles.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe try more soak time and/or more soap. The last razor I cleaned that had that stuff on it, I pretty much covered the razor with Dawn, added water to about a quarter of an inch above the razor, let it soak for around 15-20 minutes, then aggressively went at it with a toothbrush and toothpicks. That seemed to solve it for me.

You could try boiling it for a few minutes to loosen some of the gunk, but don't let the pan go dry. Or let the scrubbing bubbles soak for a while and scrub the bejesus out of it with a toothbrush, just whatever you do, don't resort to bleach!

I just bought one that has a fair amount of green between the teeth.

It's not here so no pics of it yet. I'll be asking the same question

No vinager, no boiling, no bleach. Simple Green, Scrubbing Bubbles, Comet Bathroom Cleaner. Any of these, with hot water, a toothbrush, and time.

Glad I asked because I was seriously considering bleach. Will try the 409. I've got a bottle close by.

Thanks, Gents!
