Razor blade rusting safety razor

I'm curious... The picture appears to be a gold-plated Tech. Are you primarily seeing the rust with gold razors?

If so, I'm wondering if there is some Galvanic Corrosion going on.

Either way, I agree with the advice that dry==better.

You said what I thought but couldn't come up with the words.

I kept thinking "bimetallic reaction".... Is that even a phrase? lol?

With my 3 piece razors, I disassemble, rinse, towel dry, air dry, then eventually reassemble after every single use. With TTO's, I remove/rinse the blade, towel and air dry while the rinsed TTO is air drying upside down. Eventually I put the blade back in, twist closed, then put back on stand. Stupid side note: I flip the blade every time I reassemble.

I use modern SS blades. Nevertheless, I take the razor apart ( or open it), remove, rinse and pat the blade dry. Then I clean the razor, dry it and either put the blade back in for the next shave or store the blade safely.
