Razor blade for a coarse beard

What razor blade would you recommend for a coarse bread? I have only used Wilkinson DE blades from Walmart.

Best,
Jerry

Feathers are allegedly the sharpest
You could try a sampler pack and figure out what you think works best its fun to experiment!!!
what kind of razor are you using?

+1 to gstarr. Astras and Feathers are my best blades and I've got a coarse beard. I find Wilkies do the job (almost any blade will) but I have to be much more mindful and careful with my technique.

Blades are important but face prep is more so. Then I'd say blade is next with razor right behind that. In my experience, the aftershave doesn't make too much difference. Witch hazel works fine. If you're in to balms, Nivea is more than adequate.

Try Feathers or Astras

+1. I'd also recommend Derbys. I use the Wilkies from time to time. It works fairly well in some razors I own that I've tried them out in. A few, though, feels like shaving with broken glass. But, I always have to take it slower and be mindful of technique when I use the Wilkies. Blades are truely a YMMV thing. Best thing to do is pick up a decent sampler pack and try some out.

All good suggestions, if you don't have too sensitive skin or a milder razor I would suggest perma sharp super, if you don't have a mild razor but instead have medium to agressive I would recommend Astra sp or dorco st301

Tough to answer because some blades work differently in different razors for different beards.

If all else fails go feather and work backwards...

Of course, blade performance tends to vary depending on your razor. I have a pretty coarse beard, and Astras aren't sharp enough for me (in my mild EJ89L). What have been sharp enough for my beard are Feathers (but they only last two shaves for me--the first of which is too harsh--and for me are way too expensive per shave); Gillette Yellows (as well as pretty much all the Russian or Indian-produced Gillettes); Perma-Sharp Supers (made in the same Russian plant that makes the Gillettes and Astras); and Bluebirds (made by Derby, but which I find to be a sharper version of Derby's). Bic Chromiums are also sharp enough for me, but I find them to be a bit rough and I think there are better blades for the same price. I purchased Yellows in bulk for cheap (less than 17 cents per blade) at Connaught, but they're currently out of stock; RazorsDirect has a decent price for a tuck. Bestshave.net is the main place to buy Perms (and is super cheap for Astras). I purchased Bluebirds on Amazon for $13 a tuck, but the price seems to have increased by $2-3, which I think is too high.

Tough Texan Beard right here as well! Astra SP is the only blade I'll use! Feathers worked well, but only lasted two shaves and after about three days my skin starts to get irritated with them. The Astra is a smooth, cheap, and sharp blade. Can't go wrong with it!

Just a suggestion but you might read some of the discussions in the razor blade forum, there are gazzillions of posts about every blade available to be found out there.

If you find that DE blades are not lasting long enough for you on your coarse beard you may want to look at a SE razor. The blades are thicker and might last twice as long on a tough beard. SE razors are inexpensive and you can find carbon steel shaving blades at most pharmacies (like Wallgreens, CVS, and rite-aid). Just don't get box cutter blades from your local hardware store. Box cutter blades are not designed for shaving (different type of edge which is designed to last when used hard not sharper for shaving)
