Going over my blade acquisitions over the past year:

DEs:
Bic CP 600 (300 of both yellow and orange)
GWS 400 (cheap!)
Gillette Super Thin Platinums Vietnam (Japanese Steel) 200
Sharp Titanium 100
Super-Max Diamond Edge Super Platinums 100
Gillette Platinum "Swedes" 100
About 100 of cats and dogs blades in different tucks

1/2 DEs:
Lord Plats 300- not tried yet
Derby Usta 200- very nice
Permasharp 100- gritty and sharp

ACs:
A box each of Feather Pro, Super Pros and Kai Captain Milds (on the way from Japan)

Injector:
Schick Twins Japan 2 boxes
Schick Singles Japan 1 box

Creams that have made the grade:
Proraso Blue
Trader Joes Mango
Palmolive Classic
Wilkinson Sword Rasiercreme- not sure about this one. It might get binned.


Binned:
Fake Bic CP 200
Wilkson Super Sword ~80. Rusted
Various creams that were too inferior to Proraso Blue.

Whew, that is alot. Plus some Kai disposables of various flavors. Should be enough for quite a while.

I like many very very mild models. Rapira Platinum Lux, Lord Classic, Lord Super, Lord Cool, Super-Max Blue Diamond Titanium, Crown Platinum. Sometimes use even the borderline dull German Wilkinsons. I just need to use them in very aggressive razors. All above mentioned are used in the Progress @5.

Understood. I have some Lord Classic and Cool that I've yet to try but I have used New Lord Platinum quite a bit. To me, the 7 days are sharper and smoother than the Lord Platinum. Also, 90% of my shaves are using a Lupo 95, so the same blades might not even work well for someone in a superspeed, etc. So many variables that I'm growing more hesitant about even recommending specific blades to people. Safer to just tell them to try a bunch and pick what they like.

I hope they'll be sharp enough for your beard Ivan. Keep in mind, I love Minora Stainless so I'm really not to be trusted.

Speaking of other forums, one of the best reviews and rundown on the Treet blades was on another forum, titled ...a Treet for your face? Actually written by a member here who had previously amazed me with a 100% accuracy rate in blind blade testing. At least I think it was the same bloke. He also did two more evaluations in that forum called "House of Lords" and Six weeks in SuperMax". Great write-ups if you google them but you probably already ran across them I imagine.

Nothing at all, Minora SS are great blades for me but I wasn't sure if they were sharp enough for you. There is hope... if you enjoy Minora, you'll probably like the 7 Days.

Minora SS feel similar to Nacets and Permasharps to me. Very sharp, but a touch gritty. I would love to give the Minora Plats a go, but they are very dear these days.

It seems like I need to pick up some Treet 7s!

OK. Here we go. Finally I will be able to try those Dutch Schick Platinums my father used in the 80s. I have only an empty dispenser left and have been hunting them for quite some time.
