RAD Moon Rising...Pics from the den

I got the camera out to take some better pics of my replated NEW and thought what the heck, I haven't hauled all the razors out in a while for a group shot for my sick, razor-addicted friends at Badger & Blade. :thumbup1:

Man, I know some of you guys have more razors than this in your dopp kits, but this seemed a bit more than I recalled having. I have sold a few razors, for Pete's sake! :biggrin1:

Not just any RAD, it's an extreme case. Very nice collection, Clyde! I've only got 3 razors so call me impressed.

Well done, Clyde!! That replated NEW is exceptionally beautiful. Is the razor head on the 1904 handle a British NEW? Hard for me to tell. Either way, a handsome setup! :thumbup1:

Good eye! It is a NEW head allright, but its an American made job on the 1904 handle. One of my favorite "Frankenrazors." Another one I like is the replated Tech head I have mated with the prototype Ikon handle. Picked up the handle on the BST.

Very nice, Clyde!
I think I may even recognize one or two...:wink2:

I think you probably do. :thumbup1:

Excellent collection Clyde, thank you for posting. Who did your New Re-plate? Its stunning.

Member Buddydog did that razor. I was very pleased with the plating job, and his excellent service and reasonable prices. I'd recommend his work anytime. I will usually opt to use a vintage razor as-is without plating if possible, but that one was pretty worn and it was such a good shaver I couldn't resist.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. It was a lot of fun finding, buying, and using these babies. The chase is at least half the fun for me. Prowling the BST-grin- and shops and markets for new treasures...good times! :biggrin1:

That's a really nice mix, and some very fine examples. :thumbup1:

And the replated New? It looks..... new! Kudos to BuddyDog on a great bit of work.
