R.I.P Hugh Hefner

He had the world's best pick-up line ...
He walks up to a beautiful woman and says ...
"Hi. I'm Hugh Hefner."
It worked every time.

Off to the bunnies in the sky.

I would like to say he was in a better place... But it doesn't get much better than that, let's be honest.

In August of 1967 I had a 55cc Suzuki, a copy of Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited album, and the back to school copy of Playboy. Life was good.

RIP

I do not think he was ever the same after his stroke at the age of 59. Or maybe it was the move from Chicago to LA. Upon looking up the dates, I would say clearly the latter. Sorry LA.

But RIP, HH.

I remember a U of I football Homecoming game and they announced notable alums in attendance. Hef got a standing ovation.

A pioneer, and he did it with class.

That's what made him so different. He respected people, he was a supporter of making those around him happy, he helped others achieve success, he enjoyed life, and he changed the world. Very impressive life lived regardless if he did it thru sexual content and journalism or if he did it thru farming or as a mailman.
