So I recently got a 42C and a sampler kit from amazon. The blades included are....Feather,Wilkinson,Gillette 7 oclock,Merkur. I first tried the merkur (I got one with my razor anyway) and they sucked. It TORE my face apart into bits and peices. I thought it was my wrong technique, but as soon as i tried the wilkinsons nothing happened. I went against the grain many times and not even a drop of blood. Im now anxious to try the Feathers and see what will happen. So my question is.....
Does any1 know if I will be ok with shark or crystal blades. I heard nothing but good reviews from them. However it doesnt really make sense buying another sampler pack when i can get 100 blades for $15. They are one of the cheaper blades out there and come in large quantities. I can even throw them out even every other shave and still wont be at a loss. Do you think I will be ok with them, or should I shell out the extra $ and buy feathers?? AND where are all these deal I hear about people buying 100 feathers for $27???

I will add that as you try a few different brands of blades you will find which ones you prefer. It took me a while at first and for me I prefer the redbox Personna, Derby, and Feather and I use the Personna blades day in and day out and I find them a great value.
