Question regarding Merkur Slant

I have the following question regarding Merkur Slant :

Is it correct to say, that since the blade is bended (and not just slanted), different parts of the blade hits skin on different angles ?

If so, it's not just slicing action, so it can't be imitated using G-glide (sidewise movement), because in G-glide the angle is always the same, since the blade is straight ?

So that, using slant would be somewhat similar to using adjustable razor like Futur or Vision, while frequently changing the settings / degree of aggressiveness ?

Wow !

Just went to those threads. Indeed, more then I ever wanted to know. I think I must order it just to see it with my own eyes and try. But looks like I was right in the sense that it's not just guillotine (slicing) effect.

Really? I thought that's exactly what it does (guillotine).

The blade in the slant has some kind of torsion, you don't have this in the head of any other razor in current production.

Here you can see the torsion of the blade in the head of a slant. It looks like the blade is bended due imperfections in the razorshead but this is wanted this way and finally the secret of the slant:

So, the g-slide and the shave with a Merkur slant are two different things.

Be sure to refer to this thread should you acquire a Slant. Improperly loaded blades can be painful.
