I have been looking for the answer to these questions on a Wiki or sticki but to no avail, so I am posting it as a general forum query. What is the significance of the colors on the envelopes on the far left-hand side of each thread on each forum? What does it mean when an evelope is closed versus opened with a letter sticking out?

See bottom of the page on any Forum. Not the thread page but the Forum's page when first opened.

They stand for:
New posts Hot thread with new posts
No new posts Hot thread with no new posts
Thread is closed You have posted in this thread

Thanks! Until you pointed it out, I actually have never scrolled down to the bottom of a forum's page. I didn't even know I could choose display options. How stupid of me
