Question on vintage straight shopping in Stockholm

Hi all, I've just joined and am seeking some advice as to where (if anywhere) is good for vintage straights in the Stockholm area - I'll be visiting there shortly. And I might go on pilgrimage to Eskilstuna!

I've just started on straights, and so far have acquired quite a few old Solingens, three swedes, a modern 5/8 Aust, a Le Grelot hospital, a Japanese Hillman, and various others. Luckily here in Malaysia there's a guy (Absolutehone) who sharpens and restores straights, otherwise I'd be lost. I reckon myself a competent kitchen knife sharpener, but am way out of depth on straights - I lack the patience, I think.

Stockholm is a nice city. I visited the city last year, and I am going back this summer. I need to do some more research this time.
You can also ask Johan, aka. Shaving Butcher. He is located near Stockholm. You can find him on YouTube.

Hi and welcome to the forum @Kamraj! I am also a Malaysian and crazy about everything straight shaving...I am always on the prowl for affordable straights and strop. Our currency certainly does not help...😅😅 especially with shipping charges.

As for Swedish razors, there's an ebay seller from Sweden selling some good vintage Swedish razors. You can save on shipping if you ask him to ship to you while in Stockholm. An option for you.

I am eyeing his razors too.

Thanks for the tip JPO! I'll follow up on that.

Chard, I share your pain at the exchange rate! A tip - I've just picked up 2 NOS Double Arrow 66 on Carousell, for cheap. I think there are more. Quality is better (at a glance) than my Gold Dollar 208 and way better than my new GD 66, which was bought shave-ready from a local seller on Shopee. Nice even double jimping, wedge on the scales. Edge feels like it's there, but I'll send it out for honing. I've also had some luck getting close to NOS Solingen straights on Carousell for relatively ok prices. Strops we seem to have a lot of local / chinese makers online.
