Question on razor dating?

Do the new saftey razors i.e. merkur, muhle, ej or any other brand have a dating system. I would like to buy my son one from 2002 and give it to him when hes ready to shave. Any help would be appreciated.

Good question. I wondered the same thing about dating my HD and EJ 10 or 20 years down the road. I didn't see any way to do it unless the head design changes.
