Question on ID of Gillette case

Hi All:

I just picked this up on the 'bay. It looks like a pocket edition case in terms of size and layout inside, but I can't locate any other info on it.

There are some 1920's cases in a similar vein, but most of those have names imprinted on the inner velvet.

Any ideas on exactly what the case is ?

Thanks

I have a silver version of the one you have, top left.. I don't know much in the way of identifying these, but I would love to know more about that kit as well as to see the contents of yours.. I'll post a pic of my over the weekend

The three ornate cases were made by the American Button Company for Gillette. The razors for these sets have ornate handles as well. The sets were made from around 1908 until WWI.

The gold case you are inquiring about is not from an ABC set. The set I have is nearly identical to yours and is the same size as the ABC cases. The razor that came with my set is a gold New thin handle variant. So I believe the razor in your set is original but I don't know if it had a unique name.

I looked on Mr Razor's site and he does show a thin handled NEW, but with a different case, basically the basket weave case in gold.
