Question on a Keen Kutter

I've exhausted my new toy fund for the near future, but I came across something interesting in an antique store this weekend.

It appears to be a mint NIB Keen Kutter SE safety, described as a "transitional", apparently because it has no comb. Pretty, and probably cool, but drawing a SE naked edge over my face is a bit extreme for me at this point. I suspect the price might be a bit high also ($35).

If someone can tell me if this would be a worthwhile addition to an eclectic starting collection, if its still there on payday, I'd appreciate it. :001_smile

I picked one up at an antique shop for $10. It wasn't mint, but it did come in the original box. The biggest issue would be finding blades. I've seen a couple of vintage NOS blades for $8 a piece. At that price, my razor will remain without a blade.

I am hesitant to tell someone not to buy, unless there are obvious flaws or way overpriced.
I see these go on ebay for about $50, however, I think they are bought mostly by collectors of Keen Kutter tools.
As a usable razor, I would pass. I have a Christy, very similar design, and did not care for it.
And as Old Army Man said, replacement blades difficult to locate.

Kinda what I suspected. Thanks, gents!

FYI, should any Keen Kutter fanatics spy this post, the razor is located at 23rd Street Antiques, in OKC.
