Question about vintage Yardley

Is this stuff as rare and fabled as the shaving soap is? How much does this stuff usually go for on eBay?

No. The A/S, whether it is Lavender for Men or Original is fairly common. In a box, with talc, it should run you $20 shipped. Anymore and you have been victimized by the "FOTM"-crowd.

I've usually seen a vintage bottle of the lavender A/S go in the range of $15-$25 on eBay, and that's without talc. But it's been a while since I've paid close attention.

But I agree on the first point: it pops up fairly regularly. You needn't overpay for it.

I have a bottle of the vintage lavender that I bought as a set with the shaving soap. It's a very nice lavender aftershave, but I would not pay more than $20 for it.

I wonder what happens to those cool silver bottles/tins of Yardley talc? (I have three or four of them....)

Any Yardley talc users here?

Yardley of London is now part of the Indigo Cosmetics Group.

Their website is: http://www.indigocosmetics.co.za/Default.aspx

It will link you to the Yardley of London website which lists all of their products. They have many fragrances listed, but I do not know if they are like the original. Out of curiosity, I sent an email to them requesting if any of the fragrances smell like the originals and where to purchase. I will post an answer if received.

I received the following reply from Yardley:

Yardley fragrances are not available in the US. The products mentioned has also been discontinued many, many years ago with no traceability of this fragrance.
