Question About Titan H1 Aggressiveness

How does the aggressiveness of the Titan H1 compare to a Slim set @ 9?

About the same? Slightly more aggressive? Much more aggressive?

I'm slowly finding that I like a more aggressive razor, and I wonder if a Titan H1 is the next step for me.

I honestly have no comparison there as I haven't used a slim. It's agressive, no doubt. But I prefer "Efficient." It get's super close, but in a more controlled and comfortable manner than say the R41 does. I went through a full 3 pass WTG, XTG, ATG shave with it the other day and by the next morning my face was just starting to get the amount of stubble that I'd normally have by 8pm the night before using my New Long Comb.

I have one enroute to me too.

I figure I will compare DE89 w/ikon handle vs Cobra classic vs micromatic open comb vs Titan H1.

I figure that I will try all 4 razors and sell off two and keep two.

I'm going through the same thought process. If the Titan H1 is only slightly more aggressive / efficient than the Slim set @ 9, it's probably not worth the money for me. It would either need to shave significantly closer or be significantly more comfortable. That's why I'm hoping to get some feedback from someone who has used both razors.

Hard to say really. Are any of the higher priced SS razors really worth it if you can get a comparable shave from a much cheaper vintage razor? Is your desire just for a better resulting shave, or for a razor that has great workmanship and will last a lifetime or two? To me it's worth the price, but then again my budget might not be as tight as some folks.

My Slim is already 49 years old and will probably last a lifetime, so I guess my desire is to get the best shave possible. I definitely appreciate the craftsmanship of the Titan and I do like supporting a fellow B&B member in such a worth endeavor.

I know that aggressiveness / effectiveness of any razor is a YMMV thing. If the Titan was a bit cheaper, I'd just pop for one and sell it on B/S/T if I didn't like it. The price does strain my limited budget, so I have to think carefully about it.

Speaking from experience...you will likely get it. Or be always wondering what it could have been like. I'm sure you would be able to sell it easily on the B/S/T. Not much money lost with the benefit of no regrets.

I have the Slim and the Titan, The Slim at 9 Is Aggressive but not as Efficient or less irritating as the Titan is. I don't like open combs because i.fond the few i tried out including The Fatip and R41 "I do have sensitive skin" and could never get along with aggressive Razors.

What impressed me about the Titan was how Aggressively But Efficiently Smooth that first pass was with a Polisilver Blade "Feather Blades Maybe an Over Kill" , Then i said let me go for the Second pass XTG, I can still feel its aggressiveness and Efficiency on 2nd Pass but little and i mean little irritation, Splashed some cold water on my face, Alum Block, Rinsed face again with cold water, Threw on some Witch Hazel, Proraso Post cream, My goodness i was Extremely impressed, BBS With just 2 pass and Super light irritation that only lasted till i threw on some Witch Hazel and Proraso post cream and Viola Light Redness and Irritation All, and i mean all gone.

For a shave like that ill take Titan Aggressiveness and Efficiency Along with light irritation Any Given Time with pleasure. And if you do a 3 pass, 3rd pass being ATG. Forget about it, its like going to the Barber and getting that Perfect BBS Shave right at home.

A few Titans have already hit BST Thats how i got mine im a Trade

Also some have posted there Titan Razors up on BST / . I used a Polisilver Blade and Perfect Combo for me i must say.

Yes So Far, It is my Dream Combo, at this time i Really don't think i'm going to find a more efficient, Smooth, Aggressive Razor , like the Titan. Closes thing that comes to it was My 1914 Ever Ready SE Razor just more easy to Maneuver around my face, Honestly i'm really impresses with the Titan.

Let me tell you a little secret, when i get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I smell my brushes and Stare at my Titan, Im in Love

We are talking about the Titan razor right...Let me tell you a little secret, when i get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I smell my brushes and Stare at my Titan, Im in Love .............I was lucky enough to try the proto type. Stan had a vision and he made this razor happen, I didn't know he was going to do it so quickly before Christmas but he did. And now he has a Atlas razor too.
