Question About A Brush And Stand

(This is probably a stupid question, but I’m well known for that elsewhere so I guess its ok.)
There is an Edwin Jagger brush stand, with an opening of 27mm, selling for $6 on wcs.
There is also a brush called “Omega 10275 banded boar shaving brush”, with a knot estimated at 22mm.
I was wondering will the brush fit in the stand, or is the opening too big?
Also, how durable is the brush?
I want to make sure that if I get this, it is nothing like a vdh boar brush. (Sheds excessively)
I’m thinking about getting this for a person who has probably never wet shaved before, so how would it hold up when an inexperienced person handles it?

An Omega brush shouldn't shed like your VDH. If it does WCS should replace it. Omegas are good brushes. The stand you're looking at will probably fit fine. It will hold the brush by the handle away from the knot, which is what you want.
