UMM. Picked this up at the menessentials.com storefront on the Danforth in Toronto this weekend and I have to admit something: I think this is the best smelling thing ever, better than anything else I have ever smelled. The performance is magical too!

When did you purchase yours? This scent was as strong as any soap I've had. Actually this is fougere from their 'tallow cream' which really is more like a soap.
It is an amazing scent! Really one of the best I have smelled and it comes very close to my favourites so far:
Mystic Water's Sardinian Honey and Sandalwood Rose.

It is a great scent. I have the preshave lotion as well. I like to pair it with Brut AS Lotion.

Ah, that would explain it. The creams are stronger in scent than the soaps. FWIW, I usually wish my soaps have more scent.
Try it followed up with Clubman. Quite the combo.

I get the feeling that this scent is complimentary to a lot of scents as fougere is the base of most masculine scents?
It's one of my favorites too
Before I purchased a sample I asked Matthew if he could describe the scent. As best I remember his reply, it was think Brut. So I sniffed a bottle of Brut, purchased a sample of QCS Fougere soap, and, presto, Brut! Or awfully close, but a bit more mellow and sweetish. I like it, too. When I order some more of his bar shampoo I may get a puck.
I really have not found one scent from QCS I haven't really liked.

I haven't had any others but honestly this is the best smelling shaving product I've ever used.
