QCS vs. Mike's Natural

I recently took a tin of Mike's Orange, Cedarwood and Black Pepper. I am astonished at how well this soap performs and at how nicely it is scented. It's absolutely top notch in every way. The tin is perfectly sized, which makes loading very convenient. The relatively low price is unbelievable. In fine, long live Mike!

How do the QCS soaps compare? Also, how wide is the plastic container? Can anyone weigh in?

Been a Mike's user for quite some time and just received 3 new QCS soaps today. Give me a few days and I'll happily give my .02 on the whole shebang.

I have both in my den. They are both top-notch. Once you have them dialed in, both make superlative lather. I'm planning to have one of each in my den at all times. Both use tallow and both are small, artisan operations. YMMV on scents but I would recommend both.

QCS & Mike's are my top choices for 'software'. Both give me a fantastic cushiony & slick lather resulting in an amazing shave. For me personally, I give the nod to QCS only because of the way may skin feels after the shave. The moisturizing qualities of the QCS soap is just off the charts. If you're looking for value, Mike's is more bang for your buck.

This is funny because I'm currently working through samples from both QCS and Mike's and I've ended up with a QCS/Mike's Frankensoap. They are both great on their own and they are both great together..... that's about all I am willing to say. I can't give the edge to one or the other.

I use QCS creams and Mike's soaps. They are my top 2, both are great quality with scents I enjoy. QCS works great in cold to very hot water with my scuttle. Mike's doesn't work well if the water gets to hot so I give a slight edge to QCS plus I prefer creams a little to soaps.
Life is better with variety so get both.

I haven't used Mike's yet. But next order will probably be a Mike's order as I keep hearing rave reviews. Just have too many soaps & creams right now in the rotation and a couple of QCS Creams on the way. (Cayman & Iced Key Lime)

From what I have tried so far QCS does have the best moisterizing qualities that I have used. Everytime I shave with it, my face feels like a great.

I haven't tried any of the QCS soaps, but I find that Mike's have outstanding moisturizing properties.

QCS has Vostok. If you want a mentholated cold shave, it's the best. I love it, I use it. Mike's has shave sticks. Since I travel a lot I use Mike's sticks. I also have a tin of Mike's unscented at home. I think they're both great. If I can only pick one non-mentholated soap, it would be Mike's because, frankly, it's a better value. But, I'd never willingly give Vostok if it's available.

In my rotation I currently Tabac, Vostok and Mike's - unscented tin and lime stick (travel bag). I wish Vostok came in a stick. I know I could create one, but it's just not worth the hassle.

I have to echo the same opinion as many here. I don't think you can go wrong with either. QCS has a broader range of scents which are all very well executed, my favorites being Esquire and Basilica. Both create marvelous lather and moisturize my skin very well. I find it easy to load from either the QCS tub or Mike's tin, though I prefer the QCS tub as is screws on. QCS offers matching pre-shaves and ASBs while Mike's offers shave sticks.

Again, you can't go wrong with either. I have both and will do my very best to keep it that way.

I have both. If I rate Mike's at 9.0, I rate QCS at 9.5. Except, those occasions when I'd rate them both at 9.0!

You can't go wrong with either. The deciding factor may be which scent satisfies you most. The lathers and shave quality are quite close.
