Purple Heart, MOP, Abalone & Lasers

Today I screwed around with an old H. Gambert (Veteran) that I picked up last Sunday. I cleaned up the blade and added a new set of scales based of Purple Heart and added in a little MOP & Abalone strip medallion I made.
I backed the scales with a thin sheet of Stainless Steel and finished it of with my all to familiar Turquoise wedge and micro fasteners.

Without giving away any trade secrets, can you tell me how you bond the Stainless to the scale material?
That stainless looks very thin, and I know from sheet metal work that it will bend and warp and is very hard to keep straight and true.

Really sticky stuff and a few anchor pins.




Actually the adhesive I used came from my former employer, a super crazy high strength industrial adhesive we used in the laser industry. In other words, this just can't be had on the open market.

Gorilla glue works pretty well for bonding stuff too.
