Puma Special 89 and something neat: how did I forget that I bought this?

So, this showed up in the mail today along with another razor; how the heck did I forget about these? Looked through my paypal and nope... must have bought them through some other site? Anyways.... The Puma showed up in a Bismarck Box?

The other razor is a Hugo Koeller #42 in cast aluminum (i'm guessing) scales.

For your viewing pleasure and as usual, any info is appreciated.

Nice scores!

Ive had razors show up that I completely forgot about buying, also ive re-discovered razors I forgot I had... its a sickness

I bought a similar one a couple of weeks ago, but it was in a little worse shape. It cleaned up real nice though. It's a sweet shaver. You will like it. Here's my before & after....

Nice resto. I really like mirror finishes but never do it if there's even the faintest etch on the blade in fear it'll disappear. That and usually I just keep and shave these days.

I'm more the type to be tracking it everyday, checking the mailbox like a kid hoping to get a letter from santa

I agree, I won't even polish if the patina is nice and there is no rust. There was no hint of etching on my Puma, but there was some active rust and pitting. I was a little too late to save the character of the old blade. This is an excellent shaver and is in my permanent rotation.

Recently picked up my first puma off the bay, was wondering if some of the models were particularly more valuable than others? I understand the exception of the gold and high class ones.

The only way to tell is to see what they've previously sold for. Obviously bigger/better condition means more value.
