Proraso: tube and canned?

So I found this video and it made me wonder why Proraso sells so much canned stuff. I know some canned creams are different, but doesn't it all have the same 'drying' problem?

I love the Proraso/C.O. Bigelow cream, but sin't getting it out of a can counterproductive?

I like the products. I'm glad he doesn't gloss over the fact that they aren't all natural, but I think preservatives and synthetics might make up more than "a fifth of a percent." I don't agree with his assertion that Proraso is the most moisturizing cream though....but he can be forgiven for that since he's a salesman.

No canned foam or gel I've ever tried matches the slickness of a brush cream/soap, but the majority of men don't view shaving the way we do and appreciate the speed and convenience the canned stuff allows.
