How thick is Proraso soap, because I heard it is like a thick cream?

I wouldn't call it a thick cream. More like a soft soap. I have the white tub (aloe and green tea) and I can press divots into it with my fingers and some will stick to my fingers. It's firm enough that you can feel resistance when you press it.

As states it is soft, but by no means does it get used up really fast. I've been using it alternating with 2 other soaps for a few months now, and I still can't even tell I've been using it at all!
I'use it daily. For me this soap is the no1. !!!
Before the use I put on some hot water for a min.
7-8 spin is enough to load, then I face lather on wet face.
The result is thick lather, enough for 3-4 appl. and sensational cooling effect.
I dont think you really need to worry about putting water on top of the soap.
But on the cooling effect, do not expect the same cooling you get from teh tube.
proraso lathers up like a champ, if you don't like menthol (green) try the white you won't be disappointed.
it's thick- I wouldn't think "cream" at all. More like I guess beeswax when it's hard... Hard to describe it I guess. It's quite firm but not as hard as a soap.
It is a wonderful soap. It was my firs soap (I don't count Williams) and I love it. I fall in love with the scent everytime I use it. You will not be disappointed with this soap.
