Hi gents, when I started using a brush to shave a few weeks ago I started with the Proraso shave cream. I loved it and decided to order the Proraso shave soap to see how I liked it. Well, it is a lot softer then I thought it would be! But my question is this, I just opened it for the first time and it looks like in the picture. Is this how they come new or could someone have used it? Sorry for being a little paranoid.

Mine looked similar when it arrived. I assumed thats just how they looked.. Shaves great tho! Good stuff!

Just put a tiny bit of water on it to moisten it. Then use a damp brush to work it in.

That is the pressure of the factory machine as it deposits the wonderful product into the tub. If you buy the tube you just close your eyes and squeeze.
That looks horrible! Obviously someone tampered with yours. I'll send you my addy so I can take it off your hands....

I'm puzzled. That looks used to me. Mine is an older tub, so maybe things have changed over the last few years. However, mine did not dip down in the center when new, but was flat across, with the spiral "rings" all the way into the center. (Santa Maria Novella's cream, also produced by Martelli, was the same way - flat across, with the spiral pattern clear all the way into the center.) The OP's picture looks like someone worked a brush in the center. Now, I'm not trying to spur on paranoia, but mine unquestionably looked different from that when new. I'm gathering from everybody else's responses, though, that things have changed since the time I acquired mine.
I have to say, mine looks like that after I´ve used it 5 times or so.

Maybe Homeland security thought it was suspicious so they took it home and lathered a few times to keep America safe!
I was at the store today so I looked in a few they all look like that here
