Proraso Shave Cut Healing Gel

Has anybody tried this? and do you have any thoughts on it's properties?

Reason why is ask is that I'm learning to use a straight razor and am currently getting a few small nicks and would be interested in anything that can help them in healing and keeping them clean.

I have looked at this and can't really see what the point is, especially at £5.50 a tube. A £1 alumn stick from Morrisons will do exactly the same thing.

Guess I'll stick with my Bloc Osma Alum block then. Just wondered if it had any any properties that were better than the Alum.
