Proraso or TOBS?

I've been using Proraso Red for a while now and love it. But i'm wondering if I should just buy another tube of Proraso or go with TOBS which I haven't used yet. Any recommendations from those who use TOBS??:confused1

I have tried both and like TOBS better. I have TOBS in sandalwood and shave shop. Both are great scents and lather very good.

I love Proraso, particularly the menthol, but the scent is just OK for me. Personally I'd rather go for a ToBS. My favorite is Jermyn Street.

If you are interested in trying TOBS I can't recommend Muggard Razor's sampler enough. You get every scent and it gives you a chance to try TOBS. You might find a scent you really like.

personally however Proraso Green is rocking my world lately. It's perfect as it gets hotter down here in Louisiana.

Thanks everyone. Mythrol, I went to Muggard Razor's website and noticed the sampler pack was out of stock. I went ahead and picked up some TOBS in Sandalwood scent, looking forward to trying this out soon. I also had to pick up some more Astra SPs and a vintage shaving bowl. Everything is priced very well there! Thanks again!!

I have a tub of TOBS sandalwood cream that I was going to include in a future PIF. If you like I'd send it to you for free. It is my favorite sandalwood scent but I'm trying to slim my den down.

Never mind, I just read the rest of the post and saw you've already ordered some. Sorry I was late.

I would totally take that sandalwood off you. I am a big fan of it, lathers nicely, protects nicely, smells good. So far my favorite

Sandalwood is a safe TOBS bet and I use it myself. Proraso has the charm of smelling like a "proper" shaving cream, but there's no real winner, both are great products.

TOBS make some of the best creams. So far I have liked all scents except sandalwood. Go for Rose, Mr Taylor, Grapefruit or Avocado.

I can't imagine not having both Proraso and TOBS in my rotation. I'm currently digging TOBS Coconut (better than Trumper's in my opinion).

I'm currently rotating, Proraso green (actually the Bigelow version), TOBS Avocado and various Mike's samples. I love all three and they are each different enough from each other to give me some nice variety.

I got Proraso Green, Red, and Blue and TOBS Almond and Eton College. Finished up TOBS Mr. Taylors and Sandalwood not that long ago.

Never had a problem with any of them, all performed very well although I wouldn't buy the Mr. Taylors scent again, I just didn't care for it. Shave Shop kind of interest me, but I'm into soaps more right now.

I hope you enjoy your TOBS. I really like them. Almond, St. James, and Eaton are my favorite smell wise. Sandlewood smells good too ut my wife bought me the AOS Sandlewood as my anniversary gift when I started this adventure into DE and I simply prefer its scent. Don't take it as TOBS is bad. TOBS is good and quite a bit cheaper.

I've never tried a TOBS cream that I didn't find to be quite good, and sandalwood is my favorite TOBS scent. I liked it so much that I bought their sandalwood cologne, too.

I have been using both for a while now. I like both but the proraso is a little harder to get a nice thick lather. the taylors works in a few turns of the brush

TOBS, for sure. It's just so incredibly easy to lather and the scents are all great. It also can be had for pretty cheap online. Check feelunique.com. Free shipping (no minimum) worldwide and I think beaut7 still works for 7% off. Drugstore.com usually has a BOGO deal of some sort on TOBS too. Before committing to a tub, the sampler is a great way to try them all. I started off with Proraso and had good results, but the TOBS was a big step up for me. It took my lathering to a whole new level and my shaves became a lot smoother.
