Proraso in summer.

Is there really anything more refreshing then a cool shower and shave with Proraso on a hot summer day?!

I had to mow a rather large lawn on a 90+ degree day. An excellent way to cool down. :thumbup1:

I had one of these shaves yesterday and I agree... awesome feeling. It's the comfort-food equivalent in wet shaving:thumbup: (if that makes any sense).

The only thing better, in my opinion, is shaving with Proraso on a warm summer morning in Chianti, Tuscany, with a view looking onto the countryside with vineyard in the horizon:thumbup::thumbup:

+1, after a long hot day of working in the yard it is a very good way to feel refreshed.

It snowed here this weekend though so it may be a bit until i get a chance to fully appreciate it.

I love it, I don't know off the quality of my lather but I'm enjoying my lathering technique. Instead of applying it in a circular manner I fan in on, thus slapping my face with my brush. The air provided by the fan has a nice cooling effect on my skin. Here in Florida is feels great. Shaved last night with Williams as it was my first time shaving at night but I shaved earlier.. B.ut it wasn't the same.

And OP.. 90 degrees in Wisconsin? Not cool. I might be up there in July.. Mmmm Cheese Curds.. I don't want it to be 90.. My mom was up there for Mothers Day.. And it snowed..

Yes, there is...

A cool shower and a shave with Proraso followed by a cold beer and a good smoke on a hot summer day!

Did this today after working on my car all day in 90F+ degree heat, it was great.

I feel refreshed just reading that. I think tomorrow is going to be Proraso Monday!

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but...try a superlather of Mama Bear's "Awakenings" soap with Proraso cream...and finish the job with Osage Rub. You'll have icicles hanging off of your face.

I really like the Proraso Shave (usually mixed with a little Provence Sante Green Tea Soap) followed by a liberal splash of Proraso ASL. Nice!

My last two shaves were with Proraso cream. I'm usually a soap guy but the lather was great and the Proraso chill felt great on my face.

Menthol and summer are great together! Just make sure that you don't get sunburnt before you go to shave.....

Joe, my friend, you are not only an expert wet shaver, you are a poet!

I have found that a cold/not been sitting in hot water shaving mug makes the experience better regardless of the cream/soap. I use Ogallala Bay Rum and have found that the colder the mug, the better the lather becomes and makes for a great shave. That said, Proraso has a nice cooling effect that would probably be brought out a bit more by the cold mug.
