Proraso at Bucee's???

Yes, you read that right. Have the day off and the wife and I decided to take a drive up north of Denver to see the new Bucee's truck stop that just opened up. Fantastic BBQ sandwiches. I was looking around the toiletries section and low and behold Proraso. Green, Blue, Red and White tubes. Green tubs and brushes. All the aftershaves including the Single Edge Cologne. They also had CO Bigelow also. Last place in the world that I would find quality shave products. Ended up getting 2 tubes of the green and 2 bottles of the green aftershave.

Buc-ee's aren't truck stops. They're enormous gas station marts. In fact, if I remember right, the Buc-ee's I've been to, in Tennessee, doesn't even have parking for big trucks. But it has something like 150 gas pumps, a whole wall of meat and fish jerkys, another whole wall of hot sauces and salsas and every sweet snack and salty snack known to the human, canine and feline races. The brisket sandwich is fun but too greasy for me. I wish we had one here in the DC area.

Buc-ees is a cross between Cracker Barrel and the county fair for me. It’s crazy busy, screaming kids, people wandering around and a carnival atmosphere. They greet everyone as they walk in and the guys(all dressed in western garb complete with cowboy hats) are in the barbecue pit slicing brisket like there is no tomorrow. The home section is very similar to Cracker Barrel, they have all the Tchotchkes, trinkets and clothes that cause endless browsing. The food is decent and lines go fast. The weird thing is there is no seating. The first thing you notice is everyone carrying food out to their vehicles.

Buc-ee's....closest thing you will find to heaven on this earth.
Then too, the Dekalb Farmers in Decatur (Atlanta) GA is a real close runner-up.

It is the clean restrooms & gas that get me to stop on car trips. I will usually buy some junk out of gratitude as a result. I like the huge beef jerky selection, but will look out for C. O. Bigelow shaving creme now.

Having worked there for a short stint (10 months) to help pay off my car and credit card I would disagree. It is a fun place to visit though.

I only visited a Buc-ee's one time down in Temple, Texas. Fantastic beef jerky lolz. That's awesome they have Proraso and other shaving accouterments. I would've gotten my Proraso fix there had I known
