problems with a straight razor

I have 2 straight razors but i dont use them, i use my DE more often but i would like to get my straight razor shaving on just for movember. The problem is, i strop and it still drags a little bit. i am passing it about 100 or so times, its still pretty sharp but it seems it gets duller after every shave, i do not put pressure when i strop, i just have no clue what it could be.

Both shaving with and stropping a straight razor take practice. Both can and likely will dull the edge when starting out. Practice and patience are the cure, imo.

Lots of patience and reading/watching videos. Eventually you will be rewarded with better shaves. I get even nicer shaves than I ever did with my DEs. Which were already great.
