Problem with the Marco Method

Lather all over chest.
Lather on walls of bathroom
Lather all over brush hand.

In summary, gobs and gobs of overflowing lather.
I have to shake the brush at least once and use a little less soap to avoid so much lather.

Too much water and too long of a load time

Its just not necessary...unless you want to use up your stash

Sounds like plenty of lather to shave your head too. Go for it!

I soak my brush but give 3-4 shakes before using, then load, then dip in the basin. Works like a charm for me.

Well, if your stash is as big as mine that may not be a bad thing.

I use a two band and shake it 2-3 times before doing the Marco method (i also hold my soap upside down). Add drips of water when I need more.

Point is that if you are shaking the brush you're not really doing the Marco method per se.

I, too, think that the Marco method is generally not necessary. A drier brush with water added later works just fine for all kinds of soaps, soft or hard.
