Probak sadness

So I got this Probak razor off of ebay for $13 (inc shipping) and no mention of it being semi broken:

The end of the stud is broken off in the handle. There is enough threads left to screw on and it's tight. I guess it will do for a display.

No mention was made about it being broke, but I don't think that was intentional of the seller, they just don't know. For $13 I'm not going to send it back or even make a deal out of it.

Glad it's just $13 though!

That is a rough situation. That actually happend to me on a brand new Merkur....so I feel your pain buddy

This happened to a Probak I bought on BST. The seller packed it in a bubble wrap mailer and the head snapped off in transit. Seller refunded, but man was I disappointed. Makes me really appreciate folks who make the effort to pack a product properly.

The USPS can break just about anything.
I take 3 piece razors apart, nut the cap and base plate together wrap in the white foam sheets then put in a padded mailer.
Only once have I had a razor get damaged and it was a NEW with long combs, from the package it appeared to have got jammed in the roller and it broke a tooth.
I got a 3 piece in the mail yesterday that was sent assembled in a padded mailer, luckily it arrived intact.
