What's new

Pretty much settled on a few aspects of my shave

Nearly 3 years in and I have so many shaving soaps and creams that I can't commit to one lather product, but I have settled on a few items that I expect to use every shave until my ashes are tossed in the Gulf of Mexico.

First up? Glyce Lime preshave soap. Love the scent. Like the slick face feel it delivers prior to lathering. Takes a very small amount of soap to get the job done. Will probably never use a preshave oil again.

Razor? HD. I might use my Slim Adjustable set to 7 now and again, but the HD is where it's at.

Blade? Astra SP. Four or five bricks to get through.

Post shave? 444 Para Depois de Barbear. Soothing menthol glycerin ASB. Can use any fragrance afterward.

The 2 items that led me to this post are the Portuguese products. A couple of classics to lead and finish the morning sinkside ritual!

I got the Ach Brito Glyce Lime soap on amazon.com (3 for $15). It is a cheaper version of the Musgo Real soap. The 444 is sent from theportugalonlineshop.com or Amazon. Other online vendors carry these products and many more great Portuguese brushes and creams. Google search. It'll probably be a few years before I can go to Europe and carry more back!
