Pre de Provence cream

I love the PdP soap performance and scent. The PdP ASB is great too. I also love shea butter products, they seem to work well for my skin.

So I'm looking at the PdP cream, but I have a few questions for anyone who tried it:

It is a brushless cream as far as I understand, which is OK with me as I'd like it to be my travel cream (to be used with a Sensor razor). Does it lather up with a brush by any chance?

Does it perform OK as a brushless cream?

I am a huge fan of PdP...mostly the aftershave...but here is what I can tell you. It is a brushless formula, but like most (think Proraso) you can add a touch of water and work a lather up with a brush. I do this in a ceramic bowl, add just a shot a unscented shave gel (I use Nivea, but this is certainly not required) and it produces and think creamy lather in minutes. I find it is a little shorter process (getting a nice rich lather) with the gel added, the lather quality is not greatly effected in any direction. Anyway, the shave properties of the PdP are fantastic and it leaves my skin feeling amazingly cool and smooth...add a touch of their aftershave balm and you will be touching your face all day!!

I have only tried a small sample of the cream, it worked well, close shave, and skin felt great after. If I didn't have a mountain of creams and soaps already, I'd consider adding this one to the stockpile.

Did you try it brushless or with a brush?

I used it with a brush not knowing it was brushless, I remember thinking the only thing that sucks about this cream is it doesn't lather worth beans.

I could never get a good lather with a brush, so I kind of gave up on the cream. I do use it with the PdP soap for a superlather, but I get really good results with just the soap alone (the soap lathers up super nice). I haven't tried the cream brushless.

Like suppositories. For all the good they do, you may as well just stick 'em up your ...:wink2:
