OK I've had an interesting year tobacco wise. From going head first into lat bombs I'm now sipping the sublime in Virginia heaven. Taking all into account my faves of 2014 are (in no particular order):

1) SG Best Brown Flake

There are some missing and maybe some that wouldn't be there if I really scrutinised but that's a good run of my year and those blends that floated to the top. Was a great year in tobacco for me. A very happy Rob. Thanks to you all!! :)

That's actually pretty tough. I haven't tried that many new ones, and while I enjoyed most of them and would buy them again, very few stood out. But I'll give it a shot.

1. Esoterica Penzance.
2. McClelland 221b Black Shag.
3. McClelland 221b Arcadia.
4. Nording Hunter Blend Labrador.
5. Cult Blood Red Moon.
6. McClelland Holiday Spirit.
7. Missouri Meerschaum American Patriot.
8. Missouri Meerschaum Great Dane.
9. Vauen Jubilee.
10. Vauen Zeppelin.

Also possibly Sutliff Heavy English. Certainly one of my favorites, but I don't know if it was new to me or not. The tobacconist I used to frequent had a heavy English blend called London Fog. Knowing that Sutliff is one of the big "house blend" suppliers, I guessed that Heavy English and London Fog were the same. I've never done a side-by-side comparison, though, so I can't say. They're similar, so while '14 was the first time I ever bought the Sutliff, I can't be certain I never had it before.

There's also some samples I got that aren't included, because I never got around to actually buying more, so I don't have much experience with them (Frog Morton, for example).

Good idea for a thread Aaron!

In no particular order...

1- C&D Virginia Gentleman
2- MacBaren HH Old Dark Fired
3- SG St. James Flake
4- Solani 633 Virginia Perique Flake
5- Solani Aged Burley Flake
6- Butera's Dark Stoved
7- Erinmore Flake
8- Sutliff Breckenridge
9- McClelland 5100
10- Peter Stokkebye's Cube Cut

I believe all of those are blends that I tried in 2014 for the first time. I am excited to try even more in 2015.
