I love a good steak as much as the next guy, but is there anything on a cow that tastes as good as bacon? Where's the meat candy on a cow?

Bone-in ribeye, medium rare, grilled over hardwood. Seared, crispy outside with a juicy, pink interior. I rest my case.

But when we r at the ranch there is nothing better than harvesting a 20 or 30 pound wild pig and putting it on the pit all day and eating it that night with corn tortillas and homemade hot sauce.

Well, pastrami is pretty damn good.
The hierarchy of meat is well established;
Beef
Pork
Chicken
Lamb/Veal/Goat
Sausages/Cured Meats
Fish/Shellfish
Exotics
There are times where pork can temporarily dominate (breakfast comes to mind; bacon or ham vs steak or corned beef hash - epic battle!), but overall the hierarchy holds true.

Bacon is the only pork I really wouldn't want to go without. I could live a happy life if someone told me that every pork chop I would eat in the future will be replaced with a filet, ribeye, burger or pot roast. I bet veal would make nice breakfast sausage, beef ribs, while no baby back ribs, are pretty good and chateau brion wins over roasted pork loin any day.
