do any pomades work good for mustache wax

I've tried it with no luck. I've tried quite a few and none really have as good of a hold as an actual moustache product.
I started buying pomades because they're significantly less expensive than moustache wax.
I give the **** Grease XXXX a whirl.

I have used pomades for the stache in a pinch. They're decent but I feel the waxes do a better job. With water based pomades, the hold can be really strong but throughout the day they slowly deteriorate (especially when drinking or if you have a runny nose). The less tacky oil based pomades like Dax manage hair really and don't wash out but the hold is less than spectacular. I've had some success with Yanagiya pomade. Vegetable based pomade that has a decent hold.
